Wellbeing and support
You are never on your own at BHS. There are people here who want to help.
Candice: Monday and Tuesday every week, plus Wednesday in Week B
Carla: Thursday and Friday every week, plus Wednesday in Week A
You can book to see one of our school psychologists yourself. Just pick up a self-referral form from the counselling office in A Block (go through the hallway heading towards the quad or the library), fill it in in your own time, and hand it back. If you’re not sure where to go, ask your Year Adviser or any staff member to show you.
Please note: you may not be seen straight away, as wait times depend on demand and urgency. If you need help now, speak to your Year Adviser, the Head Teacher Wellbeing or any staff member you trust.

Student voice and leadership
Student Representative Council (SRC)
The SRC is the voice of students at BHS. SRC members represent their year group, share student ideas and concerns with staff, help run events and fundraisers, and work on projects that make our school a better place to learn.
- When and where: every second Tuesday, 11:00 – 11:30am in F1
- Staff coordinator: Mr Luck
- Want to get involved? Talk to Mr Luck or one of your year’s SRC representatives.
Have an idea or concern?
You don’t need to be on the SRC to have your say. Submit a student suggestion, share your ideas with any SRC member, or speak to Mr Luck.
Junior AECG
The Junior AECG (Aboriginal Education Consultative Group) is a voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at BHS. Members share ideas about learning and school life, help plan cultural events like NAIDOC Week, and connect with our local Minimbah AECG and community.
- Where: Aboriginal Education Engagement Room
- When: meeting times to be confirmed
- Want to get involved? Go and speak to Dan or Jaimie.
Sport, clubs and library

Everyday essesntials
If you’re arriving late, leaving early or absent, your parent or carer needs to let the school know in writing:
First preference: through the Sentral Parent Portal app
Or by email: belmont-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
Leaving early? The request has to come from your parent or carer, not from you. Once it’s approved, come to the front office to collect your early leaver slip before you leave.
Arriving late? You must come to the front office and sign in using your student card.
Lost your student card? Order a new one from the front office for $5.
