What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

Learn more about the NSW Department of Education’s School Uniform Policy.

Belmont High School (BHS) is an amazing place doing fantastic things in the classroom, school and community. Wearing the correct uniform helps create a positive identity and develops pride in yourself and your school. Students are encouraged to be responsible for ensuring they are prepared to attend school in the correct uniform.

Students wearing correct uniform are recognised with a Belmont Bestie slip, giving them the opportunity to be in the running for great prizes!

Students not following the school uniform policy will receive a pink slip or blue slip and must attend lunch 1 detention.

Students must bring a note from home if out of uniform and see their deputy before 9am to get the note signed and/or borrow uniform items. The following items are not part of the BHS uniform - black clothing of any sort, jeans, short navy shorts, grey jumpers/hoodies, sport shirt (except on Thursdays and during PDHPE lessons). Students are also reminded black leather shoes are to be worn at all times (except for Thursday sport and PDHPE lessons).

Be proud to be a BHS student and wear your uniform with pride!
