Dear parents and carers,
The NSW Department of Education has introduced a menstrual hygiene program in NSW public schools. This program aims to reduce any barriers that may prevent students from participating fully in school life.
As part of the program, our school has dispensers that provide free pads and tampons for students to access during school hours. The dispensers will be in all female toilets. Pads and tampons are also available in the administration office, print room and Wellbeing staff room.
Period underwear is also available.
Our school can also order period underwear at no cost for students. Students can access this product by seeing the Wellbeing team.
Each pack of period underpants contains 2 pairs that are the same size, colour and style. These are available upon request and there may be a short waiting period until the underpants are delivered to our school.
